Hong Kong Skyline from the Peak The Victoria Peak provides a stunning bird’s-eye view of the world-famous Victoria Harbor, Hong Kong skyline as well as Kowloon. The Peak can be reached by tram or by bus. At the top you will arrive at the Peak Tower. The Peak Tower incorporates the Peak tram station, with viewing platforms, restaurants and retail outlets. There is a small fee of 30 HK dollars ( approx $4.00 US) to go to the top viewing platform. I spent over 4 hours up here, taking several images and a time lapse. I was very greatful for the overall clear sky during the day.
Shenzhen Skyline China Shenzhen is a major city in the south of Southern China's Guangdong Province, situated immediately north of Hong Kong. The area became China's first—and arguably one of the most successful—Special Economic Zones. It currently also holds sub-provincial administrative status, with powers slightly less than a province. Shenzhen's novel and modern cityscape is the result of the vibrant economy made possible by rapid foreign investment since the institution of the policy of "reform and opening" establishment of the Special Economic Zone in the late 1970s. Before this, Shenzhen was a small fishing village.

This is a time lapse that I made from "The Point" in Hong Kong on August 7,2011. "The Sky View Terrace 428", stands at 428 meters above sea level, (Approximately 1400 ft) is the highest viewing platform in Hong Kong offering a stunning 360-degree panoramic view across Hong Kong,Victoria Harbor and Kowloon. I recorded 566 still images taken at 2 seconds apart with a Canon 5D MKII 28-135 lens mounted on a tripod with a time controller. © Copyright Jerry Gilligan 2011 All Rights Reserved
