This is the entrance into Upper Antelope Slot Canyon.
Upper Antelope Canyon is called Tsé bighánílíní, "the place where water runs through rocks" by the Navajo.
I went on a special 2 hour photo guided tour through the slot canyon and was overwhelmed by the amazing beauty of this magnificent place...
The reason that I do photography is that it puts me there..., in the moment, witnessing some amazing natural beauty. I had a hard time focusing... being here, because it was breathtaking to be inside this Labyrinth of water carved sandstone.
I was visiting to early in the season to see light beams shining from above, but my guide put me there each time a potential beam would shine down from above. He would throw sand up into the beam and the breeze would move the sand highlighting the shaft of light.
In later months, this is the place to be for beams of light to enhance one's experience and photographs.
